On October 27, 1953, the USPS issued a stamp, depicting a truck cab with both rural and city scenes in the background, commemorating the 50h Anniversary of the American Trucking Associations (ATA.) Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Los Angeles, CA - host city of the ATA Convention on October 27, 1953) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The black & white cachet (artwork on the envelope) shows a series of criss-crossing highways with various trucks, a large city in the background.
Double matted in green & white, we've sized this piece to fit a standard 8 x10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
