On October 9, 1993, the USPS issued an imprinted postcard with the imprint or "stamp" commemorating Illinois College located in Jacksonville, Illinois. The landmark building on campus is Beecher Hall, the oldest college building in Illinois, and featured on the "stamp." Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, in this case a postcard with the imprint or "stamp" cancelled from the city of issue (Jacksonville, IL) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The black & white cachet (artwork on the envelope) depicts two students on campus as well as the seal of the college.
Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame. ***CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY INCLUDED***
