On April 24, 1997, the USPS issued a stamp to honor Raoul Wallenberg, the Swedish diplomat who rescued 100,000 Jews from the Holocaust. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Washington DC) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The black & white cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a portrait of Wallenberg. This is one of several pieces of Postal Stamp Art celebrating Judaica offered by Wall Art Collectibles.
Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8 X 10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
