On October 9, 1978, the USPS issued a set of stamps commemorating four American Trees...the Giant Sequoia, the White Pine, the White Oak, and the Gray Birch.  Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with all four stamps cancelled from the city of issue (Hot Springs National Park, AR) on the first day of issue captioned above.

The black & white cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a map of the US with all four trees.  Whether you're a landscape architect, a tree surgeon, botanist, or in the lumber industry, this is a wonderful historic piece of memorabilia celebrating trees.

Double matted in dark green and maroon, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame.  ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
