On August 2, 1969, the USPS issued a full-color stamp depicting Alabama's state bird and state flower to commemorate the 150th Anniversary of ALABAMA Statehood. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Huntsville, AL) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The black & white cachet (artwork on the envelope produced by a private company, not the post office) shows a photograph of the State Capitol in Montgomery.
Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8x10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
